I built my first receiver from kit at age 8. I joined the U.S. Navy out of High School as a Radioman (1995). The navy changed my rating's name from Radioman(RM) to Information Systems Technician(IT). I left the service as a Information Systems Technician Petty Officer First Class Surface Warfare [IT1(SW)] in 2005. Currently a working as a System Administrator for a Business Services/Communication company in the Buckhead community of Atlanta Georgia. I am Married with 3 children. And my non-radio hobbies involve playing music (guitar & mandolin), hiking, fishing, hunting, posting to my Blog (ki4rex.blogspot.com), and learning new things. I am a regular on the WCERC we4rc repeater the early drive time. I am a member of ARRL (and a VE), Peak-2-Peak, SATERN, WCERC, Walton County (GA) ARES, VFW, & DAV.
