I currently own an FT-817 rig, a MFJ-1622 (apartment antenna),and SignalLink USB to hook it up to the computer. And a Kenwood TH-D7 (dual band hand held) an old megellan gps for aprs, and an arrow satillite antenna.
On my wish list would be an ICOM that is Dstar compatiable.
I have 2 Imac (15" LCD) 700mhz systems, running Ubuntu Linux 8.10 (currently), a eeepc (Nice portable machine) - also running Ubuntu Linux 8.04, an old Imac (CRT) 333mhz (I think it is old) - I use it to track sats, so it doesn't need to be much also Running Ubuntu Linux 7.04. I have a P4 (2.5 ghz) you guessed it Running Ubuntu 8.10, a 2nd 2.4gh machine (hyperthreading machine) I have this one hookup to the tv to watch movies on (Also running Ubuntu 8.10) I have a 3rd P4 (running Windows XP takes care of streaming video, skype, etc), I have a 800mhz server (P3 dual processor) with 500gb hard drive use it to store files on, doesn't have to be fast Running Ubuntu server (8.10), and an HP laptop (AMD Turion 1.6 dual core) Nice setup dual boot Windows Vista Home and Ubuntu 8.10 - Well That is about all, I will be happy to answer any questions I can about linux or anything else for that matter. - LeRoy, KD8BXP
