MATTHEW A BARNHILL

It came to pass that I first got into Amateur radio at the age of 12. My Novice license came 1 week after JOTA in October. Even so, I was one happy Boy-Scout. lol In 1993 I got Technician and General licenses, and Eagle Scout award. After that, school kept me too busy to really apply time to studying radio stuff. And it came to pass that I graduated High School in 1999. Grates were ok even when waisting time wrestling, playing Goal-Ball, and spending hours talking on the radio to other young hams. I started going to Weber State University, completing General ed requirements and some computer science classes. I discoverred that I'm not a good programmer, but I do enjoy networking. And it came to pass that I served a part-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints proof-reading braille. I provided communication at the State Emergency Communication Center during the 2002 Winter Olympic games in Salt Lake City, Utah. I've done work teaching youth and adults about Assistive technology for the disabled. The best thing I've ever done is meat and marry my lovely wife Susan. Susan and I found each other on LdSpals.com. That site has gone down-hill, charging for everything, and isn't as good as when she and wI were first on it. Susan and I sent email and talked on the cell phone and travelled back and forth from Syracuse, Utah to Longbeach, California a few times. Then married on July 28, 2007 in the Los Angeles, California Latter-Day Saint Temple. Susan and I have been happy ever since. Susan is visually impaired and has a learning disability. She has a harder time processing lots of big numbers. But with the learning disability and the visual impairment, she still does everything she likes and does it well. Computers, cell phones, dvd games, other stuff. I'm completely blind. I enjoy Amateur radio, computers, science fiction, Assistive technology and outdoor stuff. The force will be with you. You're welcome to find me online. Contact me. Echolink 5500. Still working on Echo/IRLP node. It's not set up yet.
