Hey there! Thanks for stopping by. My HF rigs are:Kenwood TS-2000 DSP & Icom IC-718running 100 watts to: 160m 1/2 wave dipole at 70 feet or a 80m Inv Vee at 50 feet, or a 6 meter dipole at 35 feet. My VHF is YAESU FT-2900 to 144/440 MhzRingo Ranger at 50 feet. I use a Rig Blaster Pro for Digital comms. I use a Vibroplex 100th anniversary bug. My SKCC# is 3897. I also belong to QCWA;my number is 32464. My TEN-TEN International # is 75465. I operate only cw and digital modes, except for the Original 13 Colonies Contest the week of July 4th. I enjoy JT-65 the most but have been known to venture into the phone bands, usually to demonstrate this great hobby. I enjoy building my own antennas and experimenting with different designs. I am 48 years old and have lived in Charleston all my life. First licensed at age 13 as WD4BTC, then at age 15 upgraded to General as N4BCI. Upgraded to Advanced at 17. Kept that call until 2010 when I was issued K4BTC. Passed the Extra exam on 02/06/2010. I have been having a blast working grayline dx on 160meter cw, and have been doing some DXing on 80 and 40 meters. I am also now enjoying the bottom of the bands and my dxing has increased with access to these extra freqs! Just now started using Digital modes.
