Hi, I began shortwave listening in 1973 which I really enjoyed and still do. I was licensed as G7AYU in 1986, I then went on to pass the then required 12wpm Morse test in 1990. I'm QRV on all bands from 160m to 70cms all modes.
My QTH is 12 miles South East of London. I'm also interested in cw/qrp/amateur satellites/shortwave listening and building my own radio equipment (mainly QRP) and other electronic goodies. I am a member of the following; RSGB, NAQCC and UKSMG.
My other interests include astronomy, radio astronomy, computing and gliding.
